Newspapers and Magazines

Newspapers always used to be part of some peoples' daily routine. They would buy the paper to see what was happening in the World, and this may have been their only way of knowing about the news. However, fewer people are buying them because they have many different methods of seeing the news. It is now possible to watch the news on TV as quite a lot of people have TVs now. They can also listen to the radio and look up their websites on the internet.

Over the holidays, there was a big debate over the future of newspapers because everyone is using different ways. There was also another debate about whether they should have their websites on the internet, because they are no longer going to be free to read, and so people do not want to spend money buying the newspapers at the local shops or spending money on the internet.

The same thing is happening in the magazine industry, no-one wants to spend their money buying them, so the levels are falling at a huge rate. The companies that own the magazines are having to advertise them as much as possible.
